…And The 15 Finalists Are As Follows Wednesday, February 9 2011
Southex Events - After a grueling Semi Final round at the Rienzi complex in Couva, and 4 intense days of both online and text voting for the BMobile Wildcard that accumulated more than 26,000 votes, the names of the 15 finalists are finally in.
It must be noted that the 2011 edition has been the best Semi Final in the history of the competition, not only from the level of the production of the event, but also from the level of performances delivered by all 41 contestants. This gave the judges the hard task of having to pick 14 from the pack of 41, while the last person earned a place via the online, International and local text votes.
The 15 finalists now move to the final round in the 'Race for 2 Million' scheduled for Skinner Park, San Fernando on Saturday 19th February.
The Grand Final of the NLCB Chutney Soca Monarch will also feature full concert performances by Machel Montano HD, Karma and 3Veni, plus a 35-minute special opening.
The event will also feature for the first time an all-inclusive VIP area at the front of the stage that will have separate parking and a separate entrance.
